I mean, you can make a private match with one other person and fill the slots with bots. Boom, coop. A coop narrative campaign was never part of the vision for this game. Squadrons was practically unplayable in VR for me and tons of people due to the 60FPS bug, but most news sites reviewed it as an amazing experience. The red flag was no VR gameplay at all until the game launched. Squadrons is also very demanding (most people need to play on Low to have good FPS), yet it has a strong VR playerbase.
